This week Publish features an article "Consolidation Reshapes Stock-Image Market" (Charles Pickett) and looks expecially - besides the recent Getty/Digital Vision deal - at Creatas, JupiterImages, Index Stock Imagery and the "new player in the stock image market", Adobe Systems: "The new Creative Suite 2 offers access to a new service, Adobe Stock Photos, which lets users launch a stock-photo search right from their desktop publishing software." (also here).
Conclusion: "After a decade of expansion, early survey indicators are hinting at a
saturated stock photography market, according to Tolliver-Nigro."
PS: If you look for photography instead of the omnipresent pseudo post-analyst industry blabla ("Mom, Getty has just bought MacDonald´s, Corbis bought Burger King, will there be interferences with my business agenda?"): the second issue of the Daylight Magazine just appeared (thx to Mike Itkoff, Editor).
