Frankly, although there had been about 4 posts in 4 weeks on the recently founded International Stock Imagery Association (ISIA), this is not going to become an ISIA-dedicated blog.
But is has always been my understanding that it´s necessary to support young auspicious companies and associations in start-up modus.
So here´s the recent declaration of ISIA Executive Director Clarence Walker:
The International Stock Imagery Association is looking for a few good men and women!
With the launch of our new website, our powerful new forum, and the formal launch of the association we need YOUR contributions! Not contributions of money, but your ideas, feedback, and leadership.
With a few openings left on our Board of Directors, we are actively seeking individuals from all walks within the stock industry field and possessing a broad range of experience and skills. As an inclusive association representing the full breadth of the stock imagery field and a very diverse membership from all corners of the world.
We especially would like to broaden our reach of representation through the inclusion of board members from other countries and other areas of specialization and interests including the graphic arts, manufacturers, other associations, standards organizations, consulting, distribution or any of the many segments of the industry.
Equally important will be the contributions of our many new members in
serving on our various committees and oversight groups. I.S.I.A. is
truly an associations of individuals with a shared vision and shared
goals. Everything done to date has been the work of our individual
members and it shall continue to be this emphasis and the common
sharing in the principles of our mission and directions that will lead
us into the future!
