Alamy releases quarterly statement for Q4/2007

Sales increased from $24.2 million in 2006 to $29,2 million in 2007 (the original projection in 0ct. 2007 was "to exceed $28 million in 2007").

Quarterly revenues grew Y-o-Y from $6,3 million in Q4/2006 to $7,7 million in Q4/2007, up $244,000 from $7,5 million in Q3/2007.

During Q4/2007 photographers submitted significantly less new RF images (56,846 images; down 48.5% from 110,362 images in the previous quarter) and new RM images (299,114 images; down nearly 32.5% from 443,288 images in the previous quarter) than in Q3/2007, reflecting the lowest new RF and new RM images submission numbers for the last eight quarters.

Agencies submitted more new RF images (295,854 images; up around 19% from 248,228 images in the previous quarter) than ever -- a new record for the last eight quarters -- but the submission of RM images from agencies decreased from 147,751 images in Q3/2007 to 137,247 images in Q4/2007, the second lowest number for the last eight quarters. The overall number of agencies submitting images dropped Y-o-Y from 183 in Q4/2006 and from 217 (Q3/2007) to 127 in Q4/2007, the lowest number for the past eight quarters.

Also, the overall number of RF and RM images submitted during Q4/2007 decreased Y-o-Y from 950,767 images in Q4/2006 and from 949,629 images in Q3/2007 to 789,061 images, again the second lowest images submission number for the last eight quarters.

RM overall PPI decreased from $159 to $156, RF overall PPI decreased from $226 to $221.
