We hear you and understand you aren't happy with the royalty percentage. We'll see what we can do, but don't expect miracles. [...]

What we, the hacks out here, have to do now is to learn to trust Getty, not iStockphoto. And here we have a problem. It's well known that Getty has not hitherto concerned itself much with winning the hearts and minds of contributors. The durable story told about Getty among photographers is one of arrogance and reduced commission percentages. Not saying that's the whole story, but it's undoubtedly the perception out there.
Now all of these conditions have been in place since 2006 but something more important than seems to have been realised has just taken place -- the departure of Bruce Livingstone.
Nobody can deny that the personality cult of Bruce Almighty has been a powerful factor in this community, perhaps the most powerful of all. Now that the deity has departed in a spaceship, his magic has evaporated. Remarkably quickly.
I don't know exactly what to suggest to solve this problem of yours, but if I were you I might at least consider having Jonathan Klein himself pop into these forums to say a few words.
