Veer Acquires Solus Images: Acquisition strengthens Veer's foundation for growth

Veer, a provider of unique visual elements and design-related products, today announced that the company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Solus Images of New York, New York. The agreement marks Veer's second acquisition in just over a month, and demonstrates the company's commitment to expanding its business into owned visual content.

Under the agreement, Veer acquires all assets, including the right to market and license the more than 10,000 images that make up the rights-managed (RM) collection. The acquisition builds on a successful marketing and distribution partnership established in January 2003, where Veer was named the exclusive reseller of the Solus Images collection in the United States. Financial terms were not disclosed.

AbsolutVision, a Swiss company regrouping a team of graphic designers, professional lithographers and photographers, has released its first series of royalty-free images: Photo Objects.

This first collection contains thousands of high-quality photographs available in low and high resolution and are saved in standard JPEG and JPEG2000 file format.
