Adobe Adds Four New Image Collections to Stock Photos Service

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 30, 2005. Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced it has added four new royalty-free image collections available through Adobe® Stock Photos. The additional collections, along with increases in existing collections, bring the total number of images to over 355,000. Adobe Stock Photos is accessed through Adobe Bridge, a hub for productivity, imagery and creativity that provides multi-view file browsing and smooth cross-product integration within Adobe Creative Suite 2 and its point product software applications. The additional images give Adobe Creative Suite 2 customers many more royalty-free images to choose from, making it even easier to find the right image without leaving the application.

Callaway Editions To Pay $160,000 To Photographer Macduff Everton After Losing 175 Images

Famed Santa Barbara based travel and landscape photographer, Macduff Everton, prevailed in his lawsuit against Callaway Editions, Inc. in New York Supreme Court. Everton sought money damages for the loss of 213 color photographic transparencies and 62 black white negatives which he alleged Callaway had lost.  The images were created by Everton in connection with a series of golf books to be published by a Callaway Editions and Callaway Golf joint venture.  The photos were shot by Everton at several legendary Scottish golf courses, including Machrihanish and Crieff and included the participation of renowned golf instructor John Stark.

When Everton sought to resolve the matter, Nicholas Callaway challenged him to “sue me.” At which point, Everton retained the New York firm of Greenberg & Reicher, LLP.
