Nucleus provides medical images to NewsCom customers
Washington D.C. NewsCom, a leading worldwide provider of news and visual content, announced today that it has added Nucleus Medical Art, Inc., to its extensive roster of industry-leading content partners. Founded in 1997, Nucleus offers more than 12,000 full-color medical illustrations, animations, interactive media and other communications content.
Nucleus’ collection of highly specialized visual content details human anatomy, physiology, embryology and histology. The company also maintains the web’s largest repository of reference illustrations depicting surgery, trauma, pathology, diseases and conditions. Through NewsCom, Nucleus also will provide updates on breaking news relating to health, such as a bird flu outbreak, and milestone observances that could include breast cancer awareness events.

Nucleus boasts a staff of 24 illustrators, animators, programmers, designers and project managers with professional degrees from medical and technological institutions, including the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the Medical College of Georgia, the University of Toronto and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
