Paul Melcher brings 17 years of experience in leadership roles for world-renowned photography agencies and was named by American Photo as one of the “50 most influential individuals in American photography.” Most recently, he was Vice President of Sales at ASP company DigitalRailroad, Inc. Prior to that, Melcher was Director of North American operations and sales for Hachette Filipacchi Photo Group, where he doubled revenues for the US market in less than a year. He has also led integration initiatives for numerous prestigious agencies such as Gamma, Rapho, and TOP. While President of Abaca US, he led the company’s sales and production teams and cemented key corporate relationships with Knight Ridder Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and PA photos, among others. As Executive Vice President of ImageDirect, Melcher spearheaded the development of the company’s on-line real time distribution platform (which efficiently distributed of more images to key buyers,) while managing relationships with corporate clients such as ABC, MTV, FOX, NBC, Atlantic Records, USA Today, and the NFL.
