Getty Images partners with Augusta National Golf Club

Seattle, WA, Feb. 15, 2008. Getty Images and Augusta National Golf Club have signed an imagery partnership. In 2008, the Masters Tournament will be sharing some of its largely unseen content via the Getty Images Web site, www.gettyimages.com, which covers the pre-Masters up to present day.

The collection includes classic portraits of Augusta National founders Clifford Roberts and Bobby Jones, exciting new shots of many Masters competitors including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan, as well as great Masters moments from over the decades.

Getty Images´ team spent several months scanning, captioning and digitizing thousands of negatives and other formats which also included antique glass plates and prints to enable this incredible collection to be available through Getty Images.

The Masters collection, which will initially consist of a limited number of the Tournament´s finest images, will be licensed via www.gettyimages.com/sport.
