Tokyo, May 02, 2008. Aflo Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s largest image content suppliers, and am-images of Tokyo, Japan, have agreed to merge am-images business with Aflo Co. Ltd.

In a friendly agreement, am-images was dissolved on May 1st and its domestic and international operations moved to be continued under the Aflo name.

am-images began in 1990 and grew by adding both local and international content and also selling through Japanese and overseas sub-agents. am-images built up a large collection of over 70,000 exclusive images available for distribution. Located in Tokyo’s ritzy Ginza shopping and entertainment district, am-images’ strengths lie in their domestic relationships along with their illustration, travel and floral content.

Aflo will combine am-images’ customer focus with its already strong base of sales staff and specialist researchers.

Aflo will employ 7 staff from am-images and with them will come over 65 years of experience that will help further Aflo’s domestic operations.

am-images’ international business, although small, will be given a restart and supported through Aflo’s steadily growing presence outside Japan.
