Photolibrary campaign from TBWA\TEQUILA\ Singapore goes from strength to strength

London, UK, May 26/June 09, 2008. TBWA\TEQUILA\ Singapore has only had the regional Photolibrary account since late ‘07. But the work has already significantly raised the client’s profile in the ad industry.

Photolibrary is a leading global stock image provider to the Advertising, Design and Publishing Community.  The brief from the client was that they wanted their advertising to work harder for them. The first campaign of 3 print ads was launched Dec 07 to promote royalty-free images. The campaign ran across Asia, Australia and the United States in both the regional trade press and local publications.

The work soon got the ad industry talking. And since the target audience is advertising creatives themselves, another indication that the ads have struck the right chord is the awards that have recently been gathered.

To date the work has won metal at the following regional and international award shows: The Spikes, One Show and Clio. The campaign has also made it into D&AD. 

This makes it the only campaign from Singapore to be recognized at all these competitions.

Glenn Parker, Chief Executive Officer of Photolibrary commented: “It’s fantastic that our work has been honoured this way. We know advertising juries aren’t easily impressed. We see this as the first of many marketing activities by TBWA\TEQUILA\ to promote our brand not just in Asia, but also globally”

According to Parker the next campaign will be interactive-led with a strong viral component and is due to be release in the next few months.

Judging by the feedback our client has been getting from the industry – and the reaction of award show juries - this campaign has gone some way to change that.”
