Seattle, WA, April 08, 2009. Blend Images, the world’s leading multiethnic stock photography agency, announced today the launch of its new marketing campaign and corporate identity.
”We are very excited about the changes to our branding and our campaign,” said Sarah Fix, Creative Director at Blend Images. “Our new logo, website, and our brand identity is bold -- stylistically conveying commercial polish with an editorial edge. Our new ads are provocative – challenging stereotypes editorially, while holding creatives’ attention visually, with fresh imagery and contemporary design.”
The campaign and design were developed by New York agency Spil Creative, an integrated design firm with expertise in visual branding. “Our objective for Blend is to position the company as a resource for marketing and advertising professionals, by using a visual language that speaks to a global community,” said Spil Creative Principal, Damian Dominguez. “The world looks distinctly different to us today than it did five years ago. Culture and diversity have become vehicles of inclusion and celebration.”
A unique set of shared values is what truly makes the Blend and Spil partnership unique. From that unity of purpose, a clear vision of Blend Images’ core identity as the leading provider of multiethnic imagery came into bold focus. “Working on the Blend campaign has truly been a rewarding experience and a testament to how creativity can contribute to reshaping our world and perceptions,” adds Damian Dominguez. “I, as a Latin-American, and my Asian-American partner Jieun Lee, did NOT want to see the stereotypical Mexican with a sombrero or the familiar Japanese businessman. We wanted a campaign where friends, regardless of color, are family and women are strong.”
The new campaign and brand repositioning will encompass all aspects of Blend Images, from www.blendimages.com to outbound marketing, including print and online advertising, and to Blend Images’ global distribution channel.
