Alamy is launching a free service to allow picture buyers to directly contact photographers for
commissions and assignments.
Alamy Find a Photographer uses an interface based on Google maps to provide up to the
minute contact details and locations for photographers who sign up to the service.
It is open to contributors who have more than 100 images and more than 10 sales with
Alamy. They must also be experienced in conducting assignments and/or commissions and
have a website showcasing their work.

Oxfordshire, UK, Nov. 12, 2008. Alamy, the world’s largest online stock photo site, has teamed up with rights licensing experts Copyright Clearance Center to help create a revolutionary new way for corporations to access pre-licensed images for internal business uses.
ReadyImages is a corporate-wide subscription service that offers a simple search, select and download process. Alamy has provided more than 1.3 million keyword-searchable professional images to the service.
With no logins, checkouts or credits to track, all employees can add visual impact to presentations to colleagues, customers and prospects without the risk of using unauthorized photos taken from the web or other sources.

Oxfordshire, UK, Sept. 24, 2008. Alamy, the world’s largest online stock photo library, has announced plans to expand by opening a sales office in the US.
The UK-based company is aiming to grow its US business, particularly in the high value markets, by 30 to 40 per cent a year by establishing a local presence.
The move, due to take place early in 2009, is a departure from Alamy’s UK-based sales model and will mean a change to its current commission structure.
