Things are moving on real fast. After posting the “Digital cameras change history in Iraq” (The Modern Trinity of Enlightenment) Joi Ito comes up with the message that Yafro has set up a website (“Yafros on the Frontline”) with links from moblogging soldiers in Iraq:
"Yafros on the Frontline
Jim and I are amazed at the variety of pictures we see on Yafro, but the most amazing by far are the pictures taken by soldiers on the Frontline in Iraq. We are happy that Yafro enables them to give us all a glimpse into their lives that we rarely get from the Media. Straight from the source, it doesn't get any cooler than that! We decided we should give these pictures special treatment so everyone can see what it's like over there, so we decided we are going to start a list. If you are over there and want to be added to this list, email us at support (at) yafro.com. Thanks for the amazing pics guys, we love them! We hope you like Yafro and HOTorNOT."
[Update July 10, 2004: It turned out that finally some/most of the images presented by one or more moblogging soldier at Yafro as an image taken by himself/themselves, were probably stolen; very often from professional photojournalists. Explanation here. We tried to assign a proper copyright to all photos of doubtful origin.]
