Anystream and Voxant Announce Grab Networks

Grab_networks_anystream_voxant Dulles, VA, Oct 29, 2008. Anystream and Voxant today announced the creation of Grab Networks as the new brand resulting from the recent merger between the two companies. Grab Networks offers the next generation platform for content holders, publishers and advertisers in the exploding video snack economy to take advantage of the dramatic trends in video consumption.

Video snacking describes how millions of consumers are creating new viewing habits around quick, fast food-like consumption of video. With technology infrastructure lagging behind the consumer habits, media companies are faced with a shocking monetization gap.

"The infrastructure is so broken that less than 15 percent of professionally produced video is fully monetized today," said Grab Networks CEO Fred Singer. "Grab Networks is poised to shrink the monetization gap facing the industry today." Grab Networks is the first platform for publishers designed to solve the inter-locking problems that have resulted in this monetization gap:

  • Content holders recognize the shift to clip-based viewing, but the task of supporting the change is daunting. Grab Networks allows them to reliably extract, index and distribute thousands of video clips to thousands of trusted destinations in a completely brand-safe environment.
  • Publishers are hungry for professionally produced and rights-cleared video they can monetize, but there hasn't been a single catalog created for them. Grab Networks delivers a vast storehouse, a living library of fully- licensed, fresh content that's ready to be unleashed for targeted ad insertion. Video is there for the grabbing -- ready to post in minutes without hours of fruitless searching and without wrangling with format and legal issues.
  • Marketers know their audiences are snacking on video multiple times a day but they risk aligning their message with inappropriate content. Grab Networks provides a syndicated platform that gives them access to thousands of safe sites and professional licensed video with a single purchase order.

Grab Networks is well positioned to accomplish its ambitious goal. With 700 clients from media companies in 38 countries, and two million licensed assets from more than 400 news, entertainment and sports content partners, plus a network of 40,000-plus affiliates worldwide, Grab Networks reaches supports all facets of the online publishing universe.

Grab Networks will also continue to pioneer industry-leading technologies for video. Its Anystream division will serve leading media companies with software to produce, manage and monetize video, while integrating with the complete suite of Grab Networks capabilities. Grab Networks replaces the existing Voxant brand with expanded services.
